I picked up this metamorphic stone on a beach on Vancouver Island in the Pacific and cut it into a triangular cabochon. I believe it is Rhodonite but it is unusual given it is pink on black rather than the more common black on pink. Rhodonite used to be commonly found on Vancouver Island although the expansion of development has made it harder to find.
The pink flecks on the black make this stone unusual but pretty. I accented the main stone with 3 small cabochons: two Black Onyx and a pink Phosphosiderite. The design is crafted with a very solid piece of Sterling Silver.
Includes a 24" Sterling silver-filled chain. The pendant is 2.5" long from the top of the bail (where the chain goes through) and 1.6" wide.
