Zowie: Owhyee Jasper Silver Ring

This Owhyee Picture Jasper stone from the Oregon-Idaho mountain area,  was cut and polished by me.  The 20mm round cabochon makes a substantial statement on the hand. The Sterling Silver is oxidized to an antique patina to give more contrast with the stone, and the ring fits a Size 10. 

The Owhyee Picture Jasper has been traditionally valued by Native Americans of the Western United States. It is valued by lapidarists, artisans and geologists for its great patterning which implies picturesque landscapes.
